After catching the first albacore of 2004 Bob Hoose and Todd Garrett went in to the Cortes Bank proper to look for some yellowtail. What they found were some schools of 8 to 10 pound bonito biting on surface iron. What was more impressive than the bonito fishing was the big surf breaking on the Cortes Bank. Bob reported that there were 15 to 20 foot faces on the waves.
